Edit a video through its transcript: remove words, review filler words, shorten long pauses and export the edited video with matching subtitles.

Import SRT or VTT up to 50 MB. All cues are kept.
Settings
Auto-detect is the default. Select a language if detection is inaccurate.
Standard is faster and uses less memory. Enhanced may improve recognition but needs a larger download, more memory and more time.
Leave the end blank to process to the end. Regenerating a range replaces overlapping cues and keeps the others.
Embedded tracks
Recognition resources download on first use, then reuse the browser cache when available.
Generate subtitles from speech in your local media file. Once complete, captions follow playback.
Edit video by deleting words
Recognize word timings, then click words to cut their audio and video. Existing SRT/VTT files remain available for sentence selection; precise word cuts require recognition from the original media.

Waveform timeline
Drag the start or end handle to adjust the selected subtitle. Arrow keys move 10 ms; Shift + arrow keys move 100 ms. Zoom in for precise timing.
Clip media by subtitles
Export one subtitle or a continuous range from the loaded media. The first audio track is used; the original file stays unchanged.
Edit media by transcript
Select sentences to keep, then join their media ranges into one file. Editing transcript wording alone does not cut the media.
Subtitle style
Media files are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to a server.
Recognize the timing of spoken words from the original media, click words to remove or restore them, and listen to the result before exporting. Correct subtitle text and adjust cut boundaries when the recognition needs a small correction. You can also keep selected sentences, combine several sections and reorder them with the existing transcript selection controls. MP4 exports contain the edited video and audio; SRT/VTT remain separate subtitle files.
How to use it
Choose your video and recognize its word timings. You may also import SRT/VTT to select whole sentences.
Click words to remove them, review marked filler words, and optionally shorten long pauses. Preview your edit and use undo if needed.
Export the edited media, then download SRT or VTT with timings matched to the new video.
No. Media decoding, speech recognition, editing and export run in your browser. The original file is not changed. AI resources are downloaded once and can be cached for later use.
Can I delete individual words from imported SRT subtitles?
SRT and VTT usually contain sentence timings, not measured word boundaries. Use recognition from the original media for word cuts. Imported subtitles can still be used for sentence selection and section ordering.
How accurate are the word cut boundaries?
Word timings are measured from the audio, but recognition can be less accurate with background music, overlapping voices or unclear speech. Listen to a word and adjust its start and end times before exporting when necessary. Words without a usable duration cannot be cut independently until their boundaries are corrected.
Are filler words removed automatically?
No. Mark filler words to highlight possible matches, review them and then remove the marked words yourself. Undo and redo let you restore deleted words. Common filler expressions depend on the detected language.
What does shortening pauses change?
It cuts the middle of gaps between timed words when the gap exceeds your threshold, preserving the short pause you specify. Preview the result to check that the rhythm and meaning still sound natural.
Does editing a word replace the spoken audio?
No. Text corrections change the exported subtitles. Removing a word cuts its corresponding source audio and video; this tool does not synthesize replacement speech.
Are the subtitles burned into the video?
No. Edited media and SRT/VTT are downloaded separately. Use Add Subtitles to Video if you want permanently visible subtitles burned into a video.
