Speeding up a video shortens the duration and can make long screen recordings, lectures, and process clips easier to scan. Slowing down a clip helps review motion, gestures, UI flows, repairs, sports footage, or product details.
When audio is kept, the tool adjusts the audio tempo to match the new video speed. Turn audio off when making silent clips or when the original sound is not important.
Changing speed requires re-encoding. WebM sources export WebM; other videos export MP4 for broad playback compatibility.
