Black out regions and rasterize pages into a new PDF.
Add Area to Cover
Use percentages from the top-left of the page. Example: left 10, top 12, width 30, height 8 covers a rectangle near the top-left.
Use all for every page, or ranges like 1-3,5.
One area per line: pages, left, top, width, height. Lines starting with # are ignored.
Higher quality keeps redacted pages sharper but can create larger files.
PDF redaction is used to hide sensitive information such as names, account numbers, addresses, signatures, prices, medical details, and internal notes before sharing a document.
This tool renders pages to images, covers selected areas, and rebuilds a new PDF from those images. That makes the covered page content much harder to recover than a simple annotation or overlay, although it also means selectable text on redacted pages becomes flattened.
Use percentage-based areas when the same location needs to be hidden across repeated forms, invoices, ID scans, and reports with identical page layouts.
