Add images in animation order.

GIF Maker creates animated GIF files from a sequence of images or a video clip. Add JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, BMP, GIF, HEIC, or HEIF images, arrange their order, and give every frame its own duration. Mixed image sizes can be fitted, cropped, or stretched onto a consistent canvas with a solid or transparent background.

Video to GIF is useful for short reactions, product demonstrations, screen recordings, tutorial steps, before-and-after clips, memes, and lightweight previews. Trim the source with decimal start and end times, reduce the frame rate, and resize the output before encoding.

GIF Optimizer rebuilds an existing animated GIF with a new width, optional frame rate, smaller color palette, and selected dithering method. Fewer colors, lower frame rate, and smaller dimensions usually reduce file size, while higher values preserve more detail and smoother motion. Results vary with the source animation.

GIF supports at most 256 colors per frame, so gradients and photographs may show banding. Sierra and Floyd-Steinberg dithering preserve visual detail, Bayer can create a regular pattern, and no dithering often works best for flat icons, diagrams, pixel art, and screen graphics. Processing stays in your browser and files are not uploaded to formatter.org.
