Increase or reduce volume for audio files and extracted video audio locally.
Multiplier: 0.5 is quieter, 2 is louder. dB: 6 is louder, -6 is quieter.
Change audio volume when a recording is too quiet, too loud, or inconsistent with the rest of a project. You can boost speech, lower background music, or prepare audio for editing and sharing.
Multiplier mode is simple: 2 doubles the signal and 0.5 halves it. Decibel mode is useful when you already know the gain you want, such as +3 dB for a small lift or -6 dB for a clear reduction.
The limiter option helps avoid harsh clipping when boosting quiet audio. For final podcast or broadcast loudness, use the Audio Normalizer after adjusting volume.
