An audio noise reducer lowers unwanted background sound while keeping speech, music, and the useful parts of a recording audible. Choose a practical preset or adjust the denoising method, reduction amount, frequency filters, and noise gate yourself.

FFT denoising is the faster choice for steady hiss, ventilation noise, and electronic noise. Non-local Means examines a wider neighborhood of audio samples and can produce a smoother result, but it takes substantially longer to process in the browser.

High-pass filtering removes low rumble such as handling noise, traffic vibration, and air-conditioning resonance. Low-pass filtering can soften high-frequency hiss, while the optional noise gate reduces quiet background sound between spoken phrases.

Start with moderate settings and listen to the processed preview before downloading. Excessive reduction can introduce metallic artifacts or remove soft consonants, room tone, and musical detail along with the noise.
