Will the resized GIF stay animated?

Yes. Every frame is resized and the result remains an animated GIF. Source frame timing and loop behavior are retained when the file provides that information.

Should I use percentage or exact pixels?

Percentage is convenient for proportional scaling such as 50% or 200%. Exact pixels is better when a platform requires a specific width and height.

Does resizing make a GIF smaller?

Reducing dimensions often reduces file size, but the final size also depends on frame count, colors, transparency, and how well the animation compresses.

What is the maximum output size?

Each output side is limited to 2000 pixels to keep browser memory and processing time practical.

Can GIF colors change after resizing?

They can. GIF uses a limited color palette and resizing requires re-encoding, so gradients, transparent edges, and fine color details may look slightly different.
