The defaults remove zero-width spaces, byte order marks, soft hyphens and non-text control characters, and replace special spaces with ordinary spaces. Joiners, directional marks and emoji-related characters are kept unless selected.
The last six options may change spelling, text direction, emoji appearance or paragraph structure. Select only the categories you intend to change.
| Code point | Unicode name | Category | Count |

Positions, lines and columns refer to the original text and start at 1. A combined emoji can contain several code points; CRLF counts as one line break.

Long text is shown as a preview. Copy, text download and the report include the complete result.

Find hidden Unicode characters, choose which categories to clean, and compare the changes before copying or downloading the result. Each detected character has a name, code point, count and original position.
You can also apply NFC, NFD, NFKC or NFKD normalization and standardize line endings. The complete CSV report includes every detected occurrence and every cleanup change; table pages and text previews do not limit processing.
No. Text inspection, cleanup and report generation run in your browser. Your text and files are not uploaded to a server.
Joiners can be part of spelling and emoji sequences, directional marks help multilingual text display correctly, and variation selectors and tags can affect emoji appearance. Review their names and positions before removing them.
Keep original leaves character representations unchanged. NFC combines canonically equivalent sequences, while NFD decomposes them. NFKC and NFKD also replace compatibility forms, so they may change full-width letters, ligatures or other meaningful presentation details. Review the output before reuse.
Paste text or load a UTF-8 file. UTF-16 files with a byte order mark are also detected. The tool does not impose a fixed file-size limit, but processing and copying large results depend on your device and browser. You can cancel and try again.
No. This tool reports hidden and special Unicode characters. It does not identify statistical AI watermarks, rewrite wording, or determine whether visually similar letters belong to different writing systems.
