Add fade in and fade out effects locally.

Fade in and fade out effects make audio starts and endings sound smoother. They are useful for music beds, podcast intros, voice notes, narration, sound effects, meditations, lessons, and social clips.

Set a fade in duration, a fade out duration, and optionally the fade out start time. If the start time is blank, the fade out is placed near the end when the source duration can be determined.

Set fade timing

Durations are measured in seconds and may include decimals for short, precise transitions. Fade in begins at the start of the file. For fade out, enter an explicit start time or leave it blank to place the transition at the end based on the detected audio duration.

Choose an output format

Keep the original format when it suits the destination, or export MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, or Opus. Applying a fade requires audio processing and re-encoding, so conversion time and file size vary with duration, format, and device performance. Preview the downloaded result before publishing.
