Capture a browser tab, application window, or entire screen, then crop and annotate the image before downloading it. You can also upload or paste an existing screenshot when browser screen capture is unavailable.
Use freehand drawing, rectangles, arrows, and editable text to mark bugs, explain a workflow, highlight a result, or prepare visual instructions. Select mode lets you move, resize, rotate, or delete annotations without changing the original pixels.
Crop to the useful area, undo or redo edits, copy the finished PNG to the clipboard, or download PNG, JPG, or WebP. PNG keeps interface text and sharp edges clear, while JPG and WebP can produce smaller files.
The browser always asks you to choose and approve the screen, window, or tab being captured. Capture, editing, and export happen on your device; screenshots are not uploaded to formatter.org.
