Create a scannable WiFi QR code from a network name, security type, and password. Compatible phones can use it to join the network without typing the credentials.
Reserved QR payload characters are escaped automatically. Hidden-network support is included, and open networks omit the password field.
The QR payload uses the widely supported WIFI: format. WPA mode covers the common WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 personal network flow on scanners that support the format. WEP and open networks have separate settings.
The password is stored inside the generated QR code in readable form. Generation runs locally and the credentials are not uploaded, but anyone who receives the image can decode them.
Use a dark foreground on a light background, preserve the clear margin around the code, and choose a larger image for print. Long payloads create denser patterns and benefit from a larger physical size.
