Create a contact QR code that stores a vCard 3.0 record. Scanning devices can open the contact details and offer to save them directly.
Empty fields are left out to keep the code compact. Line breaks and reserved vCard punctuation are escaped before the QR code is generated.
The generated vCard can include a structured name and address, company, job title, phone, email, website, and note. Blank fields are omitted so simple contacts produce less dense codes.
Most phone camera and QR scanner apps recognize vCard 3.0 contact records. Always scan the downloaded image before printing it, especially after adding a long address or note.
Use a dark foreground on a light background, preserve the clear margin around the code, and choose a larger image for print. Long payloads create denser patterns and benefit from a larger physical size.
