Your IP can change when you use a VPN, proxy, mobile network, office gateway, or a different WiFi connection.
This IP checker shows the public address visible to formatter.org for the current request. It is useful when checking VPNs, office networks, mobile carriers, allowlists, firewall rules, and API access restrictions.
Your public IP can change when you switch networks, enable a VPN, use a proxy, move between WiFi and mobile data, or route traffic through an office gateway.
For IPv6 support, use the IPv6 Test page. It checks whether your browser can use IPv6 and shows your IPv6 address when one is detected.
A public address identifies the network path used for this request, not necessarily one specific device or person. Homes and offices often share an address through NAT, while carrier networks and privacy services may place many users behind the same gateway. IP-based location is approximate and should not be treated as a precise physical location.
