Bass boosting raises the lower part of the frequency spectrum to give drums, bass lines, sound effects, and thin recordings more weight. This tool opens with a balanced bass preset while keeping all ten equalizer bands available for fine adjustment.

The preset emphasizes 31, 62, and 125 Hz, then tapers through the low mids so the result is fuller without simply making the whole file louder. Reduce 250 or 500 Hz if extra bass makes the mix sound muddy.

Use the live Original and Equalized controls to judge the change at the same playback position. Moderate boosts usually translate better across headphones, phones, car speakers, and small Bluetooth speakers than pushing every low band to its maximum.

Which frequencies should I raise for more bass?

31 Hz adds very deep bass, 62 Hz adds weight and punch, and 125 Hz adds upper-bass warmth. Raise them in small steps and listen after each change.

Why does boosted bass sound distorted?

Low-frequency boosts consume headroom quickly. Reduce the strongest bass bands, lower other bands, or keep clipping protection enabled if peaks sound harsh or fuzzy.

Does the bass boost apply to the whole file?

Yes. The selected equalizer curve is applied to the complete audio track. Trim the source first when only one section needs bass enhancement.

Does Original format avoid re-encoding?

Equalization changes the audio samples, so the result must be newly encoded even when Original format is selected. Lossy formats can introduce additional encoding changes.
