An audio delay repeats the source after a chosen interval. Unlike a single echo, several repeats can form a rhythmic pattern that follows a vocal phrase, instrument, transition, or sound effect.
Delay time sets the spacing between repeats. Repeat count determines how many copies are created, while amount and decay control their level and how quickly later repeats become quieter.
Match the timing to the rhythm for musical material, or use a shorter single repeat for a slapback-style voice effect. Long delay times and many repeats can extend the exported file beyond the source duration.
Clipping protection is recommended when repeats overlap loud source audio. Listen to the generated result and adjust the controls before downloading the final file.
