I'm honestly curious, at what point would you even consider a character a modbeast? Would it be when there are no vanilla assets visible, or when its unrecognizable from vanilla XIV?
Best part of those ugly modbeasts is we never have to see them. They literally walk around thinking they look hawt but they just exist to themselves.

A good design won't use all one-hundred components, but somebody who doesn't know what they're doing will see each individual piece as cool and slap them all together, which ends up creating a lot of the visual vomit you see with modbeasts.
