With Zayn and all the other 1Ders before Harry — Styles is the second-to-last member to release a solo song — there’s been little sense of them exceeding their career peak.

Harry Styles / The former 1Der made quite a splash with his rockstar reinvention, transforming him from a handsome young man with a predominantly teen fanbase into a bonafide sex symbol that everybody and their mum now goes weak at the knees for.

Hearts stopped this morning as we all saw the #zaynandperriearemarried on Twitter, and confused fans started adding to it with their crying emojis and tweets of “Why? Why Zayn?! Why?” We need to get better at handling this, 1Ders.

Now, 1Ders are showing support for Harmonizers after the group's announcement, and the tweets about One Direction and Fifth Harmony show not only the parallels between the groups' respective breakups, but also how the fans are coming together to support each other following Monday's announcement.
