Create BMP copies of PNG images when a program or device specifically requires a bitmap file. BMP is selected by default, and conversion takes place in your browser.
BMP files are often much larger than compressed PNG files. Use this conversion to meet a BMP format requirement, then check that the downloaded bitmap opens correctly in the destination program.
There is no quality setting for BMP output. You can keep the original dimensions or set an output width or height. For artwork that needs transparency, keep the PNG source and inspect the background in the converted BMP before using it.
