   This paper proposes a viewpoints framework for deriving organisational information requirements in a manner that takes into account the need to continuously review and capture information needs as they change over time.

   Defaults can also be used to handle inconsistencies resulting from the combination of different perspectives and views of people developing a large software system, i.e. in the viewpoints framework.

   These requirements are derived using a primarily top-down approach in-line with the ODP viewpoints framework.
